86 vet with a greenwood body kit. Have any of you tried to put 17x11's in the front? I don't mind cutting the glass if I Have to.

Well I have 17x11.5 with 315's all around on my 87 coupe no problems with rubbing or full turns (see my pictures)...
I can post pics as soon as my cam comes back from Radioshack, thing bust more often than my headlight gears...

I use OEM Z/06 18x11's w/ 305/35 Hoosiers on my
'89 for events.
This results in a combo with a slightly larger OD and
IIRC correctly, a 12" overall width compared to my
street wheel/tires (OEM Z/06 17x9.5 w/
275/40 GY GS-Cs).
Ride height is stock.
I think the '86 had 16" wheels and different front
end components so I can't say how my experience
translates for your purposes.
Because the wheels shifted relative to each other, this image makes
the difference look greater than it actually is.

Thanks...I'll check tomorrow on the offset since I dont know off the top of my head. I think it's displayed on the wheel itself under the centercap. I know there are a couple of other members with custom wheels and large width up front, many run them for autocross
