92 Auto vs 94 6sp computer compatibility
My 94 6sp is dead. I think it is the PCM but the mechanic thinks it is the Opti which I just changed 2 months ago with a dynaspark. I want to just try a new PCM without buying one. Can I put in a PCM from a 92 Auto to see if the car runs?

94 and 95 are compatible and will work fine. It won't matter if it is an A4 or a M6 PCM, either will start the car, but would set codes if a M6 PCM is connected to an A4 car or the opposite is true.
