Default Steering column drawings....

I have a 94 6 speed LT1. On my trip to Gatlinburg last week I noticed my hi-beam switch quit working (would not even click). Then the cover for the turn signal switch popped off. Then when we got home and I flipped the tilt up to get out, a hinge pin (I am assuming)popped out onto the floor and the steering wheel felt like it was unbolted. I got the pin back in, and the plastic piece over it and the cover, but cannot figure out the top end of the hi-beam rod to the TS switch connection.

Is there anybody out there who knows where I can get some good drawings or tell me how things go together? I went to the dealer and got a print out of the parts detail but it does not show how things fit together. My Haynes manual SUCKS.

Not sure if this photo will help you, but if it does I have a bunch of others in various states of disassembly.

Man, I am getting close. I actually needs pics of the left side of the column - mainly how the high beam rod is located. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of the left side. I can tell you that in my picture the two silver headed screws on the left are the ones that hold the turn signal stalk to the interior mechanism. I didn't think you remove the stalk without removing them.

I took mine apart to replace the ignition cylinder. There are three (or possibly four) large torx head bolts pretty deep into the ignition that I tightened up while I was in there. I had heard that this could help the "wiggle" problem (my columns got it also). It helped a bit but didn't cure it completely. I think there is a bolt hole somewhere in there that gets elongated and causes the problem. Someone who's successfully repaired one could probably give you more details.
