Anyone ever mounted a Nordskog fuel pressure sending unit to the schrader valve without having to use five different connectors. Went to the local performance shop and the only thing they could come up with is this hideous cluster of connectors. There has to be some fitting that will allow the sending unit to be mounted atop the intake where it belongs while looking good. Thats the whole point of using the electric sending unit so you don't have to run unnecessary fuel lines off the engine.
All suggestions greatly appreciated
I put one on my Firebird. I got my kit from summitracing.com.
It came with a 90 Degree fitting and a 2 foot of braded line. And a couple of fitting for my sending unit.
The reason for electrical unit was to run the gauge in the car.
The Mechanical one need to directly to a fuel line.
I have a Cyberdine (same, same) sender hooked to mine. a 12" piece of #4 hose with a 90* fitting for the fuel rail schrader (core removed from schrader) and a straight AN #4 female fitting on the other end of the hose...an MS female to male AN adaptor hooked to the sender and the hose hooked to that.
I have a cyberdyne one as well, I just used a 90 degree fitting. with my super ram I can angle it just right between the plenum/map sensor and the distributer and that is the only piece I needed to adapt it.
I did have problems with heat causing crazy readings so I made 2 heat shields. one is a piece of fiberglass with the foil, the second is a soda can, that I polished the paint off it so it would look decent.
Maybe an extension is not such a bad thing.
you can see it in the pic if you look between the dist and the map sensor
sorry the pic is so small, I have the engine ripped apart and thats all I got.
Thanks for the info the guys I think my entire problem is stemming from the fact that I removed the schrader valve completely and was trying to find a 90 degree fitting that screwed directly into the fuel rail. How exactly do you remove the core from the schrader valve????????
