Installed Headers But ???
Also I am looking to delete my AC and Air Pump I am wondering if I took the setup of a Camaro meaning using the water pump they use could I get rid of everything without having to add a bunch of pulleys ???
I am not sure if anyone has done this or not but I was talkin to a friend who seemed to think it would work keeping everything spining the way it should. It's just I dont like the idea of removing items and putting pulleys in their place.
Any Info or pics would be of great help.
Thanks
My solution was to reuse the original stud for the alternator bracket from the stock manifold bolts. Instead of placing it in the original location, I moved it to the other side of the primary. You will also have to thread a nut onto the stud, so that it will have something to apply clamping force to the header flange. I then re-bent the stock bracket in a vise to work with the new angles. I also did this for the A/C bracket on the passenger side.
Over a year and everything is fine. If this is confusing, I will take a picture tomorrow for you.

This is a picture of the stud that I reused from the original manifolds. The nut is from the original front y-pipe connection. You will need 2 nuts and one stud for each bracket.
First take one nut and screw it onto the head side of the stud. This will give the stud something to apply force to the header flange. Insert the stud into the head and tighten it down onto the header flange. Next, reform the bracket so it will reach from the alternator to the stud. Next attach the bracket to the stud and loosely apply the second nut. Attach the bracket to the alternator and tighten the bolt on the alternator and the nut on the stud. Repeat for the airconditioner bracket.
Stud and bracket for the alternator. I couldn't get it to focus on the stud, sorry it's blurry.

Hope these pics help clarify what I did.
