-does anyone know/have a pic of the spindle side of an '85 front wheel bearing?
-all the pix and diagrams I have seen show a toothed wheel but that seems to be for ABS speed sensors and '85 didn't have ABS
If the ABS reluctor is in the way (I doubt it) remove it. Otherwise ignore it. All C4s use the same wheel bearings on the front, and all C4s use the same wheel bearings on the rear.
So the '85 would still have a reluctor wheel?
I bought a bearing off ebay and it has arrived and has no reluctor wheel on it and I wondered if it might still be correct for an '85.
The car is in storage now so I can't check until the spring.
Like CFI-EFI said, they are all the same. The ABS wheel on it does not matter it will still work on an 85. That is all most auto parts stores stock now because it can be used on all C4's.
So, yes it will work on an 85 with or without the ABS part
