I have lost my instructions which came with my Adjustable FPR kit. My 87 L98 had the factory set non-adjustable regulator on it.
Most regulators I have worked with in the past, increase outlet pressure by thghten down the adjusting screw, and conversly, one decreasses pressure by loosening the adjusting screw. I have way too much presure, and the adjusting screw is nearly backed completely out.
Do these regulators respond as I have described above and if so, what do I do if I back the adjusting screw out completely and still have too much pressure.
Thanks! I'll try that tomorrow. Although, at this point it will be like building a ship in a bottle. It's very hard just to get a wrench on the adjusting screw, let alone taking it apart and putting it back together. Oh well! I guess you gotta do what you gotta do..
You can and should test your reg before you put the runners and plenum on. Supply 12 volts to terminal "G" on the ALDL, the pump will run as long as the power is there.
Is there a chance the diaphram is upside down ?
