Hey guys i have a 91 and im looking to add a catback system, i dont have alot of money to spend on it though, only around 375.00. I was wondering though, woudl i get the same power and sound out of muffler eliminators?

There's no excuse to spend that much on a cat back if you go this route...
Go to summitracing.com, buy two 2.5" mandrel J bends of the widest radius they have, and a wye from your middle cat size (3"?), find what exhaust tips you want, then head to your nearest exhaust shop, and have them weld up straight pipes, cutting out portions of the mandrel bend as needed. (95% of exhaust shops don't have a mandrel bender, but will have plenty of straight tube.)
Aftermarket 'bolt on' exhaust kits are WAYY overpriced and proper fitment/alignment of the tips isn't guaranteed.
A custom cut, welded exhaust will be cheaper, less prone to leaks, and fit better. If you want mufflers, that'll cost that much more... but the L98 sounds beautiful without em.
..and while you're at it, you can get a carsound highflow 3" cat welded up. That'll cost another $60 or so. And you can laugh all the way to the bank at the guys who shelled out $500+ for a cat&back exhaust system.
I agree with central coaster...I have a borla cat-back system for the car and a random tech cat...the car sounds amazing...I rarely hear another car on the road that sounds as throaty....however, you can put together your own exhaust with the help of a good muffler shop for a fraction of the cost...just have them custom weld you something for your needs...you'll be very happy and when you hear that car purr, the smile you'll have on your face will be well worth the money and time invested in the mod...
