Default Replacing FX3's

I need new shocks, right rear is blown and fronts are leaky. I just bought the vette a few weeks ago. I talked to Mid America, I told them I was going to Auto-X and only drive it once a week. They recommended I save the $400 and buy the Bilstein set z51 shocks for $299, instead of replacing the FX3's which are $199 a piece. The salesman said I could get $200 or so for the FX3 actuators because they are expensive brand new. I think I may go this route. Suggestions??

No, but the check service ride control light will activate

Or can I pull a fuse.
No, it will disable the cruise control if you do......most pull the bulbs.
See above.......personally I think its a bad move......but see my sig and you'll know why

For your application, I'd recomend sending them to bilstein for rebuilding and revalveing them. I think Jack French is the guy to call. A search for fx3 repair should bring up his contact info.

If the actuators are not broken and you want to take them off, let me know, I'd certainly be interesting in buying them from you!

FYI it will not set a service engine light, but it will set a service ASR light on your dash. You can remove the bulb or just wait for it to burn out like mine did
