89 383 questions
hey guys i have a question my buddy has an 89 corvette with an a4.just put a 383 in it everything else is pretty much stock just the heads were freshened up a bit.it also has long tubes. before the motor he went 14.0 at 97 after he went 13.5 at 100 but he also had drag radials. what are the stock gears in this car???also should he maybe try getting it tuned?? what other small bolt on mods would help him get in the 12s?? car also has spray on it but he wants 12s on motor first what would be the best route to obtain that? thanks guys!

There are no small mods for him to do, he needs a new intake like the Superram.
Its likely he has 2.59 gears, which are not terrible, but 3.07 would be better.
That car should be running better than 13.5 with a 383 and spray already, alot better.

Not all have 2.59, but nearly all do. He'll have to check his RPO codes to be sure.
