Default Bought New Converter! Do I need a PCM flash?

Ordered my new converter today(Edge racing 2400-2600 stall). Do you guys think I need to get my pcm flashed? Or do you think I'll be ok till I get my new rear gears?

Converters have no effect other than launch characteristics. So in a word no.

You picked a good stall speed. Have you ordered your new rear-end gears yet?

No, not yet. I found a complete D44 rear assembly for $2,000 but with the Christmas season coming up I just can't swing that right now. Since I don't plan on racing that much I've been thinking that maybe I ought to install a set of 3.54's into my D36. Do you think that combo would last me a little while?

I have had 3:54 in my D36 for about 1 year now with no trouble but I just run street tires and never go to the drags. I do get on it every now and then thought. Made a big difference

I broke a few. That gear does make for a nice street combo though. Awesome seat of the pants, minimal gas milage decrease. Enjoy them.
