I've never seen this addressed before, my apologies if it has and I missed it...I've always wondered why there's never been, to my knowledge, a dash replacement for these cars comprised of simple, round analog gauges. I mean, how hard would it have been? Any ideas why it never happened? It might be a little late in the game to suggest this would be a great aftermarket addition to these vehicles, but then again there's still plenty of nice ones around. Your opinions, please.
It's crossed my mind over the years also, but when it comes to electrics, I'm more of a 'plug 'n play' type; I'd have been first in line if one of the aftermarket companies had offered a plug in replacement. It's a shame, cause I mostly just ignore the mess it came with.
Well...Ask and ye shall receive!...I'd never seen this and it's obviously a comprehensive solution to this 'problem'. I kinda like his take that he feels the stock dash is simply part of the car's unique design. A lesson to be learned I guess...(Still wish I had a round tach and speedo!) Seriously, thanks for enlightening me.
My '96 LT4 has analogue coolant temp, oil temp, volts, and oil pressure or i can look at all digitally....My corvette mechanic says trust the digital readout.....

The readout is the same information that the computer sees from sensor input. The gauges of course have their own sending units. It's nice to have both of them to compare if there's a problem or discrepancy.
