Finally, after figuring out that I had tried to install the 1.6 RRs 30 degrees off of timing, I got it right and found the number 1 piston's dead center. Originally, I set the RRs off of the crank pully 12 o'clock position; unfortunately, I have a smaller pulley, so the mark was useless. I used the GM tech book's method of setting RRs off of the number 1 and 6 piston positions. It worked great and the car sounds and runs great. Now I need to figure what type of heads to start shopping for. I'm looking at ported LT1 heads. Has anyone had good experiences with AI ported heads? Thanks for the help!

Both AI and LE do very good work. Can't go wrong with either one.
