ttspowersystem help scanner trouble
i downloaded the file to scan my 91 vette thur tts but i can't get it to start the datamaster32 engine recording screen comes up but it won't start recording or even letting my see what my car is doing without recording. i want to use the 20 free recording but i can't figure it out. i think i need an authorization code has anyone done this before thanks for the help

You get 20 free runs. Not sure what screen you are seeing, but you can close the little registration one. On the toolbar click file, open file, name the file, test the com port, if it says OK, click start.

spankyellow thanks for the info. i went thur everything and when i tested the com port itcame up with a box that said
aldl adapter is working but no pcm was detected. check the cable connection between the adapter box and the pcm. this can also occur if the datamaster version is incorrect for the vehicle.
i checked it and i have the 8d version so that is ok. so why is it telling me no pcm detected?

Do you know if the car has the original chip ? Some aftermarket chips are modified so you cant scan them. I had problems getting mine to hook up at first also. Its been 2 years so I cant remember all the stuff I tried before I got it. Dont give up. Once you succeed its a great tool.

i turned the laptop on and hooked it up to the car. and i have downloaded the aldl tester and tried the test and it still comes up with the same box that says no pcm detected. my vette is a 91 and i assume the stock ecm. i have a chip from fastchip and it is giving me 360hp and 425tq from my 383 but they don't seem to want to help me get everything out of the chip that i can. so i got a chip from alvin from pcmforless and i put it in and it ran bad so i turned my fuel pressure down to 40# and it ran better but it hardly spinns the tires and with the fastchip i can spin them at 40 no problem. with the pcmforless chip it hardly chirps the tires at takeoff. alvin would like some datalogging so that is where i am at now. someone help me out thanks jeff

I tried Datamaster from TTS, but I never could get it to work (link to the ECM). I have successfully used WinALDL and TunerPro RT- although TunerPro took some work. I used the same cable on all, two different laptops- one with a serial port and one with an adapter. Still no Datamaster. Oh well.

sbnova, winalad worked for you? did you get some good info. i had a chip done by alvin at pcmforless and the chip isn't very good so i wanted to get some logging done so he can reburn the chip. so if winaldl will give some good info maybe i should try that?????
