Default Chip question

Been pondering doing a few enhancements to my 86 convertible. Wondering what is fairly easy items to start with, especially on the chips. I'm sure a few people here are using aftermarket chips, and I'm wondering a few things.

1. What chip are you using?

2. What other work did you have to do with it?

3. What are the downsides to them? (lower milage? increased engine wear? Running hotter?)

Thanks for the comments.

Dont spend the money on a chip until you have serious mods that really make it worthwhile.

Unless you are having overheating issues that would benefit from the improved fan settings, you don't need one.
