Default HELP! - need detailed wiring for start path

I am guessing I have a bad relay somewhere. I have a no crank condition. I know it is not VATS since that has been bypassed.

I can hear the fuel pump prime when I turn the key.

Does someone have the wiring diagram from the switch under the dash all the way to the starter? This problem has plagued me for a couple of years and there is no rhyme or reason for when it happens.

It would help a lot if you would always post what year vette you are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

For your 88, power comes from the battery through a fusible link (if blown, no dash lights, radio, heater fan, courtesy lights, etc.), through the firewall connector to the ignition switch. Then from the ign sw crank contacts to the start enable relay, to the clutch safety switch (gear selector sw if automatic), to the firewall connector, to the starter solenoid connection on the starter.
Here's how to find the problem: Unplug the clutch safety switch and jump the socket and try a crank and measure the voltage on the jumper with the ign sw in crank position. It should measure 12v, otherwise the problem is further up the wiring, and if it is 12v, the starter should crank or the starter or wiring from the safety sw to the starter motor is open circuit. No 12v, your start enable relay is defective, either your VATS bypass isn't working, or the relay isn't closing, or its contacts are defective.
It is a bad idea to bypass VATS because 99% of thefts are done by bashing the column and jumping the ignition. Keep your car in good repair, if you take care of your car, your car will take care of you!

Awesome - that wiring diagram will do the trick!

Where is the starter enable relay located?

Check your Helms, page 201-7-A for an 1989. I am
guessing it is in the same location on an '88.

This image will only be here for 2 hours or less if you
confirm when you have seen it.

Thanks for all the input! I read the rest of the pages from the pdf's that were generously provided and it also confirmed that the relay was behind the multi-use center.
