You can convert to a small diameter HEI distributor from a late 80s F body or 90 and up GM truck with EFI. This is the distributor that requires a remote coil.

Ok I think I have found one now. But what is the best coil to use and where do you mount it? I dont see a lot of space to install it. Also where do you find the adapter cables for them smaller distributor?

I beleive you can get them from NAPA or your local GM dealer. You will have to make an adapter harness for the EST harness to mate to the existing 4 wire connector from your distributor. If you can't find them let me know I can get them for you. You can mount the coil anywhere that you can find some spare room. For a coil you can use the F body coil which is available at any parts store. Or you can use most any aftermarket coil with an built in mounting bracket.
