1992 Corvette does anybody know what my choices are to lighten the car up? Especially in the front end. Is there a place that sells carbon fibre kits?

when you say lighten up, how much of the creature comforts and conveniences do you want to give up? there's a lot of components under there you can remove, but do you want to if this is going to be a daily/weekend driver.

I've found a few places on the net in the past that sell carbon fiber hoods and roofs for the vette. Just do a google search. Lexan too.

I also saw a vette at Roebling Road about 10 yrs ago that claimed to have an acid dipped body. It was thin as paper and very flexible and lightweight. It was a white car, very fun to watch.

well, you're free to do almost anything. interior complete can come out, a/c complete delete, gas tank assy. i assume you are going to a fuel cell. plus the carbon fiber and lexan wildcat listed.

I have fuel cell and the ac is out. Int is where it needs to be. Body parts and glass is what I am interested in.

Toledo Pro Fiberglass will make some lightweight and carbon fiber parts for the C4.

Melrose makes lighter parts, Toledo pro used to advertise CF parts but dont list them any longer.

I'd go to work on weight reduction in the doors, they are rather heavy.

I have a decent list of weight reduction ideas here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1215104
