Default header coatings

Jet Hot or HPC? I will be using the 1300f coating on my headers any comments or experiences with either one?

Have you heard of Swain Tech?
http://www.swaintech.com/
They have an exhaust coating that is claimed to insulate well enough to be able to put a hand on the header with the engine running.

I've used Jet Hot's ceramic coating (silver) on a couple of headers before and have been pleased with the results. One was a motorcycle exhaust that came out really sweet. You probably can't go wrong with either one as they have both been around for quite a while.

Swain Tech is 15 min away from my house. Their coating is far better than all others coating. I am willing to bet on it. Nascar use their coating for their header and all other components.

My buddy Baldturbofreak have his turbo hot side coated. It is awsome. The coating alone is .015 thick. It is rough almost like sand type coating. It does not for look but for function. You can touch the pipe after the engine is shut off. Fot that reason I am having my turbo pipes coating at Swain tech as well.

Given the choice between stainless (uncoated) or steel coated which would be better? How about in appearance after 5 years?

That is very interesting, .015" thick too. And it doesn't cost much more than the standard coatings which are only about .002" thick.
