Default cold start idle

While recently working on my '84 I had to unplug all the electrical connections on top of the engine. Now when I start the car when the engine is cold the rpm's don't increase and it takes a couple of minutes, while the engine warms up, before I can drive the car. I did not remove the TBI's or any parts on them, I only unplugged the electrical connections. I THINK that all the connectors are replaced correctly. The car runs fine in just a couple of minutes but acts like an engine where the "choke" is functioning properly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (Fortunately I live in a relatively warm area, so we don't get the really cold days)

What more could you ask for? If that statement contains a typo, check for trouble codes. Follow the trouble shooting charts in your FSM for each of the codes. You could start out to by making sure the terminals for the ECT sensor didn't get shorted.

RACE ON!!!
