Anyone ever stumble across an OEM thermostat housing that is
clocked correctly at the Streath Ram flange?

I think the Mini Ram flange is similar to the HSR and TPIS (re)sells
a suitable housing for the MR.

I am getting ready to go the Stealth ram route. Why can't the TPI throttle body be used? What are the down sides to removing the IAC? I'm not following the problem with the water neck could you explain that a bit more to me? What do you mean by "clocked correctly"? I'm not worried about the hood as I am going to use a cowl induction setup.

Thanks

I have seen information about fitting the OEM throttle body successfully,
either here or perhaps at 3rdgen.org. IIRC, it is a matter of overcoming
some interference between the TB linkage and the plenum. This is a
good area for me to research and go back to add to the post above.

You must have seen JoBy's reference to removing the IAC - he was
driven to this to accomodate the reduction in clearance when he
lowered the plenum. If you are not dropping the plenum then you
can retain the Idle Air Controller. (The IAC contains a stepper motor
that moves a plunger in and out in response to commands from the
ECM. The plunger pushes against the throttle linkage to adjust RPM
at idle.)

If you installed the thermostat housing shown above on the Stealth
Ram, the neck will be 'clocked' (pointing) in the wrong direction - that
one is out by about 90º.

Use the Advanced Search to explore for more Steath Ram (aka HSR)
threads.

The thermostat housing for the TPiS MiniRam II appears to be
a good match for use with the Holley Stealth Ram - the neck
winds up pointing essentially straight forward. I have not
assembled all the parts together to verify there is no interference,
so there is still a chance something might cause interference.

I am sure someone mentioned this part along the way, I just
can not recall who. Thanks just the same ...
