Stiff door locks?
My 93 coupe door locks are VERY stiff. To lock them with the button on the inside it may take 2 or 3 attempts before the lock slides fully into the locked position. From the outside, unlocking it with the key can also be very hard. This makes the PKE basically useless because it only actuates the lock once and it's not enough to actually lock the door.
Is this a common issue? Easy fix maybe?
BTW, where can I find the best deal on a Helms Manual for a 93? I keep seeing them mentioned, but don't know where to get one.

Don´t know if the system is similar to an 84, but I guess so. Mine had the same problem. Took the plastic off the doors inside, (screws at bottom, speaker cover and screw underneath the lock system, 2 screws at the grip plate and 2 at the bottom of the grip, remove the sliding button from the pushrod, its a click kind of constuction, take the grip plate carefully off while pulling the door handle, push the plastic cover up and it releases. Goes the best with the window down) A better guide in the manual. At the bottom outer corner you find the lock motor. The shaft of this motor shifts vertically in and out and should be protected with a rubber cover. Mine was busted a little and water came in. I entered some WDS40 and oil in the shaft bushing from the outside without taking anything apart and oiled some other places where the pushrods are sliding. Opened 20 times to get the oil in. An immense improvement.
