Cam Change - 93 LT1
I'm sure this has been asked before but here goes anyway. What is the deal with changing a cam on a 93LT 1. I am going to replace the water pump and opti over the winter and was wondering if I can slide out the cam without pulling the engine. I will also be removing and replacing the radiator.

There is a link on my site that details cam removal for LT engines.
But to answer your question, no you dont have to pull it, but everything in front must come out.

That is a great article. I will already have most of the stuff off the front of the engine anyway so I might as well upgrade the cam and opti.
