Hey everyone. I thought that the composite Corvette valve covers were notched to fit the alternator on the passenger front side, is this true or not? I was looking at putting the vette composite black vavle covers on my 95 f-body LT1, but someone said they wouldn't fit... But I thought that the vette also had the alternator in the same place... can anyone confirm this? If they are not notched to fit the alternator, will they still fit or not? I thought it was a common practice for f-body owners to install the stock composite vette covers on our cars to help quiet the valvetrain noise associated with aftermarket roller rockers. I want to do this to help eliminate the boat-loads of false knock I am getting. I nailed down the fuel I think, but I just want to get rid of all possibilites, and plus the composite ones look way sexier than the stamped steel uglyness that comes stock on my car!

The Corvette covers are not notched. The accesories are configured completely different on the F body even though the location of the alternator may be similar. I just stripped a complete '94 F body LT1 engine and nothing is the same, accessory-wise.

The valve covers on the Vette are not notched. The alternator is located on the drivers side on the Vette.
