Power Steering Rack Rebuild
Well I have my rack on the bench,and after a lot of searching I found a seal kit for my rack.I was wondering if any of you D.I.Y. guys had some experience with one to shorten the learning curve.Thanks in advance.

When the time came, I chickened out and bought a re-maned, exchange. It seems that when I was looking up the R&R procedures the FSM had a pretty thorough section on overhauling it.

I don't know the cost of a seal kit but I paid something like $100.00 for a lifetime warranty rack. I wonder if it is worth the effort to rebuild.

I had a leak at the pinion seal. After research it seemed the repair parts were more than a reman. I switched to a reman Z51 rack (fenco) from Lordco for $165 cad. If your Lorcdo can't match the price i get let me know and i will see what i can do.Mission next year
