Default knock sensor and timing question

I broke one of the knock sensors at the bottomof the block while pulling the motor out... Doh! Anyways, I have heard something about replacing with lt4 sensors and the lt4 knock module... If not than whats the part # for a stock lt1 knock sensor?

Also, I am getting ready to re-assemble the engine components. I aligned the cam sprocket and crank sprocket with the timing ticks. I am using a lt4 hotcam with a 95+ style opti. Can someone informme how the opti is to be placed on the pin out of the cam to get correct timing?

thanks

The first part is that there is no such thing as a LT4 KS. I don't know where this rumor got started but it just is wrong. There are two KS's for the LT1 platform OBDI (92-95) and OBDII (96) and they are not interchangeable. As for the second part the LT4 KM does exist is interchangeable but not with your ECM. The 94/95 and 96 LT1 ECM can use the LT4 KM but the only time there is any benefit is if you have false knock and even then it is a crap shoot at best. Hope this helps
