Does the data really sample at 30 frames per second on the desktop software? This high sampling rate is a bonus and would steer me strongly towards their software, providing it's actually true. So anyone who's used it, does it sample at this rate? I was told this rate by their sales staff.
I was considering the EZ-Scan 6000, but the 500ms fastest sampling rate is sort of a turn-off. That's like 10 frames through the whole rpm range.
I asked this in the scan/tune forum, but I guess it's more tune than scan, understandably.
As an aside, I was also told they are working on a Corvette-specific version of the EASE stuff with more Corvette-related features. I gave the gentleman my email address and he said he'd let me know if he has more specifics.
I don't think I've ever seen 30 frames per second on my laptop. It seems to record more FPS if you record less and less items. I record a bunch, but still get a lot of useful info. I'd say around 12-18 FPS. I would have tocheck some of my scans.

Cool, thanks for the feedback! Even 10 frames per second would be pretty good. They did mention with the OBD-II stuff that more data items monitored will mean less frequently updated data.
What kind of laptop do you use? I have an older AMD K6-2 350MHz laptop with 128MB of memory that I'll probably use. It runs great, has a nice big 14" TFT screen, etc, but of course is pretty ancient processorwise. I'm hoping it would be suitable.
I use the EASE Diagnostics personal edition and as I recall it usually has 5 parameters at a time on the screen. I've never timed it, but I would be shocked if it updates anywhere near that fast. I would think that the update rate is more like once or maybe twice per second.

Can anyone confirm the rate? I guess at the worst I could return it if it doesn't do what they claimed. Though that's often more trouble than it is worth... I'd rather know what I'm getting before I get it. Thanks for the help!
