Default reprogram'd my fan temp

Using hyper-tech programmer optimized for 180 f powerstat which says fan on/off 213/205 but didn't change my stock thermostat. Think the stock is 195 after letting idle in garage for like 20 minutes went to 213 then down to 197 several times. Before programming let idle till oil temp was 185 and water temp went to 218 so i guess this setting will work fine with stock thermostat..... .Stock was 240/225 per hyper-tech book...

Your stock thermostat IS 180°. You want to be sure that the on/off settings, especially the off, is high enough that the fan doesn't run excessively.

RACE ON!!!

You should be able to maintain around 193 with the stock thermostat in a LT1/4

You can also set the computer to shut them off at speed like 35mph which will neglect having them run more at a idle as far as fan life goes

Is this an OBD II function only, or will OBD I do this as well. Also, is this something that the Hypertech can do, or would it need a custom tune.

Thanks

Theres ways you can do it in just about every year vette. Hypertech doesn't do this.

Right with hypertech had 3 options stock 240/225 optimized for 180 213/205 optimized for 160 192/185.......but the 180 made it 213/197 just went out for a 30 minute drive then let idle for 10 more minutes in driveway 213 is top temp it will hit...Cool day here though 60 degrees...lol
