Not starting !
My dad has a 91 that is not starting the car has been sitting for 5 years. The car has a aftermarket remote start added. We put a new battery in the car and tried to start the car all the accessories come on but it does not crank or turn over. The security light flashes while we are trying to start the car. I removed the brain to the aftermarket alarm hoping to get something to happen nothing happens I reinstalled the brain and the unlock/lock button works fine the trunk pops open but it does nothing when I hit the remote start button. It also has a kill switch that I have tried in every possible position. We just need to get the car started to get it to a repair shop, what should I do?

I don't think the start motor is getting any power it is not making any noises at all no fuel pump whine, no nothing I was trying to find a way around the VATS. If the passkey system the system that should disable the alarm by turning the key in the door because I have tried that as well what do you suggest I do?

I mean the pellet in the key Passkey system. When that isnt happy the security light will flash when you turn the key and try starting it. Hard to say if it would even be conected if it has an aftermarket remote starter on it though. Dont know if it will be something that simple....
