Want to s/o an x-pipe for my LT4 from Dr. Gas. What size (in & out) do I need? Adding EM longtubes and will most likely eliminate the resonator in lieu of the x-pipe. Is this a sensible alternative or do I want to run both and if so where should the x-pipe go in the exhaust chain? Not really concerned about noise or resonance but do want the ideal setup for what I'm running. Is the addition of an x-pipe really necessary? Right now I have the stock system all the way back to the Magnaflows. Although there are some similar x-pipe threads none seem to address exactly the info I need.
Need a little education on this pls...
Thx,
Jeff
BTW...Initially I was planning on just running straight pipes back from the headers to the mufflers but not sure if I would get the most out of my setup that way.
i removed my resonator and placed the x-pipe in its place.your factory pipe is 2 3/4 so you can use 2 1/2 or 3".i dont think power will be affected either way.i have no resonance at all.i have dynomax super turbos and it is quiet(what i wanted).i do still have cats and factory manifolds so im sure that quiets it some.maybe some one else can chime in with their longtube experience.

I had LT on mine with 3" SLP exhaust and used that same 3" X pipe, bought it off ebay. Worked and fit fine only needed some adaptors and some short length of pipe.

Talk to Dr. Gas about what they recommend. I did when I installed their x-pipe on my Nova years ago. They really know their stuff and will help you. No sense in trying to piece together information when you can get exactly what you need from the manufacturer. I was very pleased with them when I made my purchase.
Thx for the link. Definitely affordable. Is the stock system 2.5" or do I need to have adaptors fabricated?
I used a 2.5" X-pipe because the Corsa system is only 2.5".
Now I have the Bassani cat-back. It's a complete 3" system with an integrated X-pipe in the resonator. And.....it sounds much better than the Corsa system to me.
Drive over to EM in Tempe and talk to Trevor in person (and believe me, he will talk, and talk, and talk....).
Yeah, talked (and talked & talked etc... ) to him over at Bill's (ZF Doc) last night. His suggestions always involve spending the most money that I don't have.
He didn't like the Magnaflow x-pipe listed above but I'm still kickin' that idea around. It's only $79 and that includes shipping.
