I'm not really familiar with cross fires, but it sounds like a rich condition
first I'd check the plugs-and yes I'd be looking at the 02 sensor also, although I'm not sure if you only have 1 02 sensor why it would only affect the one bank.

The 1985 is not a Crossfire. And yes, it cannot be THE O2 sensor, because all eight (both sides of the engine) injectors are fed fuel based on the feed back from the single O2. Additionally, the ECM ignores O2 output at WOT when it is in the PE mode. You may have a sticking or lazy injector that over fuels, on one side. I can't imagine that it is a problem with 4 only, on one side only, injectors.
