Default power effects exhaust

Does anybody elses butterfly baffles rattle when the exhaust is fully closed?

No. Solid as a rock. It's really the butterfly valve and not just the module rattling on the hanger?

Call them - the owner/designer of them often gets on the phone about any technical problems. I'm sure they'll quickly offer an exchange. http://www.powereffects.com/indexmain.html

I had a similar problem and I had to send the unit back to Power Effects. Had it back in a week and no problems since.

Give them a call - Power Effects should take care of it for you.

It's just the butterfly. I shoved a rod in the tail pipe and lightly touched the butterfly and it stopped rattling. Thanks for the reply.

I had the same problem, loosen the two bolts that hold the butterfly adjuster to the module, and then move the module around until the butterfly doesn't touch the module anymore and then tighten the screws.

When this happened to me, it was right after I installed the exhaust and used it for a while and I adjusted it once and haven't had a problem since.

The other thing I noticed on my power effects install was that some of the screws on the rear mount touched each other and made a horrible resonance inside the car, after trimming/adjusting the screws so they don't touch I don't get any resonance.
