Hey folks, quick question. Where is the Blower fan relay. My manuals show nothing. Blower fan stays on after car is turned off. Id say the relay got stuck. If it even has a relay. It is also stuck on medium blow about #5. Is the relay connected to the climate control module?.1986 VetteL98 by the way. Ive unplugged all the relays under the hood that i could see and its still going. Ive Searched old posts and nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.
Module is used by Electronic Air - about $100. Any dealer should have one since it's used across the GM line - or NAPA has a stocking number. Just make sure the fuse protecting the actual blower voltage back to the Control Panel hasn't opened (assuming you do in fact have Electronic Air), because if it has, you'll get the same symptoms. It's 5 amps and mounted on the firewall. Leads should be whatever color is hot at the Blower Motor - Red/Black some Years; Purple others.
I actually bypassed the module temporarily. Fan fully on all the time. I got a lifetime fan motor and very easy to change out. Havent had time or funds to get the module. I did have 12 volts continuous into the module through that big red wire in, so I am pretty sure it is the module. Unless anyone know if that big red wire into the module should be hot all the time or on off with the ignition? (1986 electronic air)
Let us know if it was actually is that module. Sorry I didnt follow through.
