Default help with multi-function lever

I'm trying to get switch asm., pivot and pulse removed. I'mm at the lever now. The manual says to pull toward drivers door. I did that , but still not coming off. I see a c-clip near the steering column, does that need to come off? Also later it says to remove the pin, switch actuator pivot anything special for that. any help would be great.

Thanks, Derek

Grasp the lever tightly as close the base as you can. Give it a good strong tug, pulling straight out and it will snap out.

Pulling the switch, pivot and pulse (aka, wiper switch) will require complete column disassembly -- the pin only comes out with the column disassembled. Do you have a GM service manual?
