Is there a difference between....
Is there a difference between a .....ZR1 ZF6 gearbox ....and a 1990 L98 ZF6 gearbox and if so what is it and could the ZR1 box be used in an 1990 L98.

The input shaft length is different for the ZR1 and L98/LT1/LT4 ZF 6 speed transmissions. The ZR1 version has a longer input shaft. I do not remember how much longer. Contact the ZF Doc for specifics and whether or not the input shaft can be exchange for a L98/LT1/LT4 into a ZR1 box.
