A lot of sellers have no idea about what they are selling or are full of it.
The only parts that will interchange are the engine internals: crank rods , pistons ,cam , valve gear , valve covers.
Vortec is a late model version of a L98 engine with the ports in the heads completely different to regular SBC.The heads will bolt straight up to any non-LTX block but a special manifold is needed.
LT1 has reverse block cooling requiring unique heads that only fit LT1 /4 blocks. There is no provision for water outlets to the manifold

As I understand it, iron head LT1s and Vortec heads have the same intake/exhaust ports, valves and springs. If someone wants to upgrade a GEN 1 SBC w/iron heads, vortex heads are cheap and good.
