Again I tried to use search w/pretty much zero results, anyways here is the question. I just went to swap out my f.pump (90) and the sock was hangin' on by threads. My best guess is that, if looking straight down the long end is about 1 o'clock position. The short side looks as though it was covering the return tube (from what looks like an indent on the sock) Who has done this recently, or remembers direction to place the sock, TIA Mick
The sock has to align with the little "yellow boat" in the bottom of the gas tank. If you can't see it, you have to get a flashlight and spot its orientation. If you don't align the sock with the "boat", you'll stall out taking a sharp corner because of the fuel sloshing around. I learned the hard way. When I changed my whining fuel pump, the sock was misaligned and each time I cornered hard, my car would stall out. So dangerous, so scary. Do it right the first time! Good luck.

I know what you are talking about it runs vertical in the tank. So you are saying putting it inside that rail. Small end in back?
