Car popps and backfires when i back off

Can anybody suggest what may be wrong. I have a 90 6sp. When i accelerate and then back off, the car popps and backfires. Where should i start to look ??

Vacuum leaks in intake. Plugs/wires/dist cap & rotor needs replacing. Exhuast leak.
