I tried to see what the problem is with my 85 rear defroster, looks like someone screwed it up,its missing the the connection from the window to the shock, has the male end on the shock but nothing from the glass, can this be repaired or do I need a new glass hatch? If so it looks like I will have no defroster,no big deal it will not be driven in the winter but I would like it to work.Anyone have a picture of the connection? Thanks for any help.
Mine has been repaired on the glass to the plug.Someone took a heavy gauge(12AWG I believe) and soldered it to the connection point on the window and crimped a connector to the plug on the other end.Remember a lot of current goes through it.It will probably take and industrial soldering gun to do it not a pencil.

Some of the auto parts stores use to carry a kit to repair those broken connectors, but I think they stopped because the stuff in the kit is poison.
I have seen it in one of the catalogs - on one of the pages in the back of the book. Can't remember if it was Ecklers, Mid-America, Corvette Central, etc. I don't think it was Summit or JEGs though.
