Default EGR Temperature Switch

Can someone give me some advice as to how to reach the connector for the EGR temperature switch? I can see it behind the distributor but how do you get to it? I can't even touch it with the tip of my finger! I think I can reach it if I take the distributor cap off but I don't want to go through that if I don't have to. Thanks in advance for any help.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I CUT THE WIRE BACK APPROX 2" FROM THE SWITCH AND INSTALLED THE NEW SWITCH AND SPLICED THE WIRES TOGETHER. COVERED WITH SHRINK TUBEING IT LOOKS OK. NO MORE CODE 32.

It's easier with the distributor cap removed.
But not much!
