They're supposed to have been released by now but I haven't heard anything past that.

well... the phone number that they left for the new www.dynaspark.net (not yet up) is in Ft. Wayne, IN. It will take a call to find out if it's real...

I'm still waiting for the one I backordered to keep in stock to reach me. I've got both MSD OptiSpark cap/rotor kits in stock, but no distributors yet.

Default I've had one on order for a while

The original due date for this was Dec. 8. As of one week ago, they still didn't have a date for it. I saw it at Sema. nice piece, They'll sell a million of them. My car has been down forever, but I don't see the point in buying a GM one that will break in another few years. Hopefully I get it and my engine put back together in time for the Maxton Mile event on April 1.

The write ups and descriptions sound promising. I was just about to start this thread myself. No Opti problems yet, but I need to start saving my pennies just in case....

I do have a question though. I have a '94 and MSD lists two part numbers. One is for "early" cars and the other is "late". One ends in '94 and the other starts with '94. The difference being that the "early" one includes vent lines, so does that mean that some '94's were modified at the factory for better venting?

The factory didn't switch to the vented opti in the Corvette until '95 so that is most likely just a typo on their part. For the Corvette they break down like this 92-94 unvented, 95-96 vented.

Yep, aluminum headed LT1 engines got the vented Opti-Spark in '95, but the iron head LT1 engines got it in '94.
