On my 86 Z51, when should my rad. boost fan come on???

IF its a stock temp switch in there. But if someone put in a lower temp switch it will come on at a lower temp.

Thanks guys, I knew that was an easy one for the forum. I've only had the Z51 for about 5 mounths, and have not seen that kind of temps. These cars are so much different than the old carb cars, but I'm learning. Thanks again. Dave

A quick test of the fan, would be to pull the wire off of the aux fan switch, between the #1 and #3 spark plugs in your left (drivers) side cylinder head, and ground it. If it and the relay are OK, the fan will run with the ignition on.
