Last saturday I broke the bolt that holds the A/C compressor and smog pump into the top left corner of the head. Can I eliminate the A/C compressor and the smog pump at all. Don't need A/C in my car anyway. I guess 420h.p. these parts can't holld up under pressure. Please let me know.

Sorry not smog pump belt tensioner. But would like to eliminate the damn smog pump though.

Not sure on how the 84 is compared to the 87, but there is no way to tension the belt without that bracket.

Someone told me one of the SMOG pump elimintator kits had an adjustable pulley (like how the old alternators used to be), might be able to do it with that, but would have to find the specs on the belt tightness.

I E-Mailed march performance about getting a new pulley system without air pump and with electric water pump, they said no can do because of the AC compressor, so if I eliminate that, I'm sure I can get a kick-a$$ pulley system designed by them either serpentine or not,,,E-Mail them with your needs!!!!
