ok
hello first of all,
and i have a question to ask of you guys that drive an 87 C4 vette.
whenever i accerlerate or cruise at a constant speed my left rear tire area makes a kind of scraping/clicking noise and i was wondering if any of you guys have dealt with this before.....
this would be of great help to me and my wonderful corvette(i dont want it to break)
THX ALOT
First thing I would do, if you havent already, is get down and take a look at the inside of the rim from underneath the car and see if you can see any signs of something rubbing on the rim while you drive. Also take a good look around the inside of the rim and see if anything like the E-brake cable is close enough to drag on the rim.
I'd suggest you take a good look at your brake pads-a clicking noise can be the wear indicator letting you know the pads are wearing thin.
And welcome aboard from another 87 C4 owner.

All of the above is good advice, but add to it that scraping and clicking might also be the universal joints in the half shaft
