Default Need Shock absorber installation advise

I ordered a new set of Bilsteins from eshocks.com and I will be installing them tomorrow. Any tips or tricks that I should know? This is my first time doing shocks on any car. Thanks....

Very straight forward job. For the fronts you don't even need to remove the wheels or jack up the car. The rears will need to remove the wheels, but overall an easy job. Since it's your first time i'd say 2-3 hours.

It will be easier to install the fronts if you jack up the front of the Vette some.

I jacked my car.

Also, (unless you're stronger than me) you can't pull/push the shafts on Bilsteins like you can with less expensive shocks. I put a block of wood under the rotor and lowered the car to get the shock to feed into the hole. (You'll see what I mean).

Finally, don't miss out on the fact there is a hex cutout in the tip of the shaft. You can use a hex key to hold it from rotating while you install the top nut.

If you've done shocks before, you won't have any problem!

Straight forward job, no tricks. Took me 3 hours from start to finish but I am a slow wrench turner.

At the rear shocks, use some liquid wrench or whatever on the top mounting plate bolts. You do not want to twist/snap one of them off.

Are there any picture write-ups on this? I've done plenty of macpherson swaps, but never this. Thanks to whomever.

That was fast - thanks! Considering the end of the C6 Z06 shock looks pretty much like that, I'm gonna go ahead and presume that they're similar or pretty much, the same.
