squeking clutch should I worry ?
I have a 86 vette with the 4+3 trany I noticed the other day that when I take off my foot on the clutch pedal I here a squeaking sound. A good friend of mine told me that my throw-out bearing is going should I have it replaced ?

That's tough to say...It could be your pedal linkage or worn bushing. Is the noise inside the tranny tunnel or near your feet? How many miles on the clutch? If ypu have 75,ooo miles for example, I would consider replacing the clutch, pressure plate. throwout bearing and re-surface the flywheel. It's one of those jobs where, if you have the shop can get it out so fast it's worth letting them do it. Option B...get a good buddy to help and a case of beer
