I shot a video of my tach. It's a little blurry and there is no sound(sound card is screwed up), but you can see where I shift and how much(or little)the rpm drops between shifts. http://www.corvetteforum.net/c4/mrmojorisin/Tach1.mpg
Looks like our Mr. Mojo was doing a bit of "power shifting". For the newbies that means leaving it floored between shifts (letting the limiter worry about max rpm). This helps with times but is hard on equipment.
Yes, I was powershifting and no, I didn't hit the rev limiter at all. Goes to show you that the factory tach is off, by how much who knows.
3.45 gears.

Re: Shift points (Mr Mojo)
I found the stock tach to be almost 500 rpms off.
The most interesting thing about the video was the rpm dropoff between shifts.
Good job, Frank
ps, did you have Chris in the back taking those shots? :D :D :D :D :D :D
hey...Mr Mojo....my automatic looks just like...that...tach even does the same!!!......pegs the plastic....on near the middle just like yours....dude.....only thing...you look faster on the acceleration after about 80....my L-98 seems a bit slower there....but was curious dude...what was the time....you ran on that recorded run....I tried to calculate it...but my calculations are coming out a bit slow for you.......0-60 in 5.6 and looks like a 14 quarter.....but thats just me trying to calculate it from the video......
My rev limiter kicks in when the tach reads about 5900 so it's just a couple hundred rpm high. But my tach needle is kind of "bouncy" over bumps which is rather annoying.
