Thank You. I really hope they work out to. If they can pass any kind of smog, then I am sure they will work just fine(even though I do not have to worry about it).
From what I gathered. All the FMS 24's are the same, just different color top, depending when they were made. I have seen them in blue, black, green & orange(from various searches). Anyone know if there is a difference or are they like all the others? Depending on who actually made the injectors & when they were made.
Just as long as they have PN #M-9593-A302 stamped on them correct?
This is, from what I gather the part number for them, regardless of the color.
For future reference
GEFracing has them for $185 INJECTORS

Consider the ford 24# especially if you are considering upgrades and definately go with the Holley afpr. They are sold by summit part#HLY-512-501. I went through 2 other AFPR's before I was told about this one.
I use 24#'s and used the Holley fuel regulator when I had the SuperRam with no problems.
85vet, what is the difference between the BBK & Holley(if you have experience with the BBK)? Is the Holley a much better performer? I know the BBK that is on here now seems to be working rather well. One advantage I can see is that it looks like the Holley has a turntable type wheel on it vs. the PITA to get to 5/16 bolt of the BBK(but it isn't to bad with a ignition wrench). Plu sit isnt BLUE If the BBK does crap out on me then I will give the Holley a go.

The Holley comes complete with new parts. It is not just a shell like many of them. It is very easy to adjust the pressure - I had previous top bolts strip & break.
My BBK came with all new stuff also(shows no diaphram, but it came with a new one. That was the only reason I did get it. Is the holley unit fairly new, because I do not recall seeing it 2 years ago? Then again, I do a search for 1985 vette & the holley doesnt come up.
As for the chip. Yeah, i'm sending it out to pcmforless. I just want to make sure everything is in working order before doing so. Just incase I need ot change something. I have found that the blue, green, orange, ect top. All have the same part number. So I have the "blue" tops coming. They are just orange.

Exactly. The 24# and 22# ratings are what they flow at the standardized 43.5 psi. Aftermarket ones are rated at this same psi. GM doesn't set your regulator to this pressure though.
Actual flow depends on the actual pressure. GM increased fuel pressure and decreased injector size throughout the C4 run, maintaining pretty much 21#/hr for all the L98s and LT1s.
My engine is rated at 230 hp. But it doesn't make 230 hp at half throttle.
In short, 24# ford injectors are a direct replacement for stock 85 injectors.
