Here's one to consider if you're looking for top quality. Due to increasing materials cost, they probably will never be offered for this price again.

I just installed TPIS ceramic coated long tube headers with emissions hookups on my 1988 a couple weeks ago. Catalog price, $750. I like them.

This is the setup that is going into my Vette sometime within the next two the weeks...

TPIS 1 3/4 Headers (smog provisions)
3 inch y-pipe
3inch in/out catco "high flow"

If you have the money the group purchase in C4 parts is a sweet deal.

A few companies that currently have a say in C4 headers are:

TPIS
Stainless Works (group purchase)
Hooker
Hedman
Exotic Muscle

I'm not made of money so i opted for Headman Elite's. Summit sells them and they are about half the price of hookers and of comparable quality.

I havent had alot of luck with the headmans. The welds would rust from the inside. On my camaro that I had back in Jersey, a set would last me about a year if I was lucky.

But I cannot blame you on your choice. Considering you could buy 3 set for the price of the hooker SC's.

The Elites are not your usuall hedmans. Thicker tubes, thicker flange and coated inside and out.

How do you do that? I mean, you must have a valid address in WA to use? ...and then you sport WA state license plates?

talk to merle at EM
if you really want headers then get the best ones they have, the racing ones. yes they are pricey, but they will make the power you are looking for. they are headers, not just the word headers that look nice. if the buget is tight, wait and save the extra $$ and get real headers and you will not be sorry. remember there are headers and then there are headers. you get what you pay for with headers.
