Hypertech programmer LOCKED ???
HI... is there a way to "unlock" a hypertech power programmer? To allow it to be used on another car?

Hypertech locked
I run a hypertech on my 94 vette and have played with it quite a bit.
You can unlock the hyper tech by plugging back into the car that it was first down loaded to and return that car to original as built program. You can now use the hypertech on different car as long as the car is a type that the hypertech was designed for. At least that's how mine works. The hypertech will register the vin number the first time it's used and uses that number to verify that it's plugged into that car only. Hope this helps.

a jerk on ebay sold me one and said the memory was clear. it arrived and it was not. It wasn't even for a vette. It was for an impala. Hypertech is probably the only place to get it cleared. Anyway I sent the one back that I bought but the creep kept my cash and the bogus part. Any suggestions by the way on how I can get my cash back. Suggestions besides going from Texas to Mich to handle it old school.
